Jennifer Lopez was born in 1969 to a family with Puerto Rican descent. Lopez took dance lessons throughout her childhood as a teenager, and when she turned 16 she made her debut in film by playing a minor part as a child in My Little Girl (1986). The year 1991 saw Lopez get her first TV role as she was cast in In Living Color as a professional dancer. Lopez appeared as the role of a police officer confused on Shades of Blue, a law enforcement procedural (2016-2018). Second Act (2018) was her satirical role, in which she played the woman who gets an important job at the Manhattan business after she and her coworkers enhance her resume. Lopez later joined a predominantly women-only cast for Hustlers (2019), about strippers that feign ill-will towards their wealthy clients. In 2022, she starred in two films that had marriage themes. The story of Marry Me revolves around a female popstar who marries the math instructor she is studying with following the discovery that her boyfriend is cheating.
