Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of her four siblings, was born on the 8th of August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. Her parents, who are a dental doctor as well as a teacher at school were supportive and encouraged by her initial passion for drama and theatre. The initial goal of her of becoming a specialist in monkeys was replaced by a desire to learn about drama and theater. An avid photographer, she produced a recent exhibition during the Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. Her work focuses on celebrity as well as the fame. The film's success brought Tautou into a wide range of roles, from British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
