Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej (now Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be given a perfect score of 10 points in an Olympic competition. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics coach when she was six years old. In 1969, she took part at the Romanian Junior Games and finished 13th. In 1970, she won the title. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972, which was a pre Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she took home three gold medals while in 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior championship. When she competed for the first time with a senior team in 1975 she topped Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva. She was the five-time European champion winning four gold and one silver. The American Cup was hers to win. American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first female to do a backward double salto as dismounting from the unbalanced parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The actress began her career in the entertainment industry during her teenage years when she appeared as an ice skating duo along with the cousin Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in entertainment in her teens. She started her career as a figure skater, performing alongside her sibling Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating performance.
